This year will be a little different than last year. The first big difference is that there will be a girls' book club as well as a boys' book club on Wednesdays. The boys will meet in the front of the library and the girls will meet in the back. I would like to have it on separate days, but I can't leave to go pick up pizza two days every week...that's doing too much as some people would say! :-) So we will have to compromise!
The boys' will be reading the thrilling book called "Skeleton Creek." Here is a synopsis:
There are two sides to this story — one is written, the other is on video. Something mysterious is happening in Skeleton Creek. Something scary. Something sinister. Now, the next thing is different this year is that the book club is only open to the first 20 people who sign up and COMMIT to being there every Wednesday. If you miss a week without a valid reason, your spot will be replaced with someone on the waiting list. Although we enjoy the pizza every week, the purpose is to finish a book, which you can't do if you only show up when you feel like eating pizza. So I'm looking for dedicated readers for book club this year...sign up if this is you!!
